Accessibility

Routes

The entrances to Dance House are accessible. The main door is 160 cm wide and opens by pressing the button adjacent to it.

The outside courtyard is paved and level.

There are no thresholds on the entire ground floor, where our event also takes place. In the halls, the first seat row is accessible and also has wheelchair spaces. The rest of the seating rises sharply and can unfortunately be accessed only through the stairs.

The details of accessible parking can be found in connection with the instructions for how to get to Cable Factory.

Toilet facilities

The toilet facilities, including the accessible toilet, are located in the Dance House Lobby.
The door of the accessible toilet opens by pulling the door handle. The toilet room is 255 cm deep and 210 cm wide.
The toilet facilities are gender-neutral.

Personal assistants and interpreters

The event is free of charge for everyone and personal assistants and interpreters are welcome.

Lights and sounds

The programme of the event includes speeches, music performances and a film. Some of them may be loud. The facilities have an open floor plan, so the soundscape also includes the hum of conversation. The lobby area also has a fairly strong echo.

Efforts are made to avoid flashing lights in the event. The general lighting is artificial top-down lighting.

The venue has a sensory-friendly rest area with dimmer lighting and a calmer soundscape.

Induction loop

There is an induction loop in the Pannu Hall and the Erkko Hall. There is no induction loop in the lobby area.

Allergens

Apart from guide dogs, animals are not allowed in the event.
Participants should avoid using fragrances.
