Minister Häkkänen to attend terrorism conference convened by President Macron in Paris

Minister of Justice Antti Häkkänen will attend a high-level conference in Paris on Thursday, 26 April. The conference will deal with the measures to be taken by the international community to combat the financing of terror groups. Around 70 states and several international organisations have been invited to attend the conference.

The conference is convened by France. It will close with a speech by French President Emmanuel Macron.

Minister Häkkänen will speak at a roundtable discussion on combatting the financing of terror groups by means of criminal law. Nicole Belloubet, the French Minister of Justice, will chair the roundtable discussion.

During his visit to Paris, Minister Häkkänen will also meet Ministers of Justice of other Nordic countries and visit the OECD to discuss hybrid threats, challenges brought by digitalisation and artificial intelligence, and prevention of corruption.
